I have not read this article yet so I don’t know what the issue is but I’m going to say right now just

because unless she is somehow using her hair to swing from the uneven bars this is NOT A FUCKING ISSUE

Wait…what…WHY????

From the article:

“I love how she’s doing her thing and winning,’’ says 22-year-old Latisha Jenkins of Detroit told The Daily Beast. “But I just hate the way her hair looks with all those pins and gel. I wish someone could have helped her make it look better since she’s being seen all over the world. She representing for black women everywhere.’’

I don’t really see how the way her hair looks is relevant to all this. Not everyone looks like a super model. What gymnasts do isn’t easy and I’m sure having a bunch of make-up and hair product in doesn’t make it easier.  Let these girls be comfortable in their sport. I think her hair looks fine just the way it is. Wasn’t even paying attention to it. Too distracted by her awesomeness.

Olympic fencer Shin A Lam refuses to leave the floor after unfair ruling.

I’ve only barely glanced through the olympics posts but her story… wow. I can’t believe the judges let the other girl win, even though it was a clear mistake on their part. I guess they were to embarrassed to go back on their answer and instead chose to ruin this woman’s chance at the gold.
